Microneedling is a minimally invasive and practically painless technique for rejuvenating the skin. Following the application of topical numbing cream, a Microneedling device gently glides over the treatment areas, creating thousands of tiny micro-channels to kick start natural collagen production.

 

As a result of the controlled micro-injury, the skin is “tricked” into shifting to repair mode. The process releases fibroblasts & growth factors and stimulates the production of fresh collagen & elastin, two essential elements of plump and luminous skin. As dermal and epidermal thickness increase, texture improves, and pore size, lines, scars and discoloration are all diminished.

 

All skin rejuvenation and self-repair resulting from microneedling is 100% natural, and continues for a few months after each session. This procedure is also safer for certain skin types than fractional resurfacing, which creates micro-channels by applying laser heat.

 

We recommend a series of 4 to 5 treatments per year to slow down the aging process, or, a more intense series of 8 to 10 treatments spaced every 4 to 6 weeks to improve acne scars, deeper discoloration or lines.

What to Expect at Home:

You’ll leave the Spa with a take home kit containing a gentle cleanser, a hydrating serum, a moisturizer and sunscreen for 3 days following each microchanneling session.  You may apply makeup 12 hours following your microchanneling service. When you leave the Spa your skin will most likelybe pink. Inthe 2-3 days that follow you may experience blotchy skin and some flaking that can be addressed with the take home kit as well as makeup.
